A History of Devolution Parts 1, 2 & 3
In case you never noticed, I posted three excellent but OOP Devo albums some time ago on my other blog Realm 0f |X|. I'm re-posting them here because they suit the scope of this blog better. This material all pre-dates their first commercial release and if that's what you're familiar with, listen again! This is raw, warped, kinky, low-tech synth poop [sic] that many Devo-tees find superior to their later absurdly successful recordings. It's easy to see why many of these songs were deemed unsuitable for release at the time - they push the boundaries of obscenity and bad taste further than most of the punk that was yet to follow...

Booji Boy's Basement appears to be a website offering free disks of rare archival Devoid material. You send them blank discs and return postage, they send you burned CDs & DVDs. I haven't tried this yet, but they seem to have a lot of obscure stuff.
Let me know if it works for you...

Cool!
Thanks for posting these again.
I remember when the Hardcore discs came out, it got me all worked up about Devo again. What a vastly different band than their Warner Brothers years!
I remeber thinking that some of the stuff on volume two was possibly newer than as claimed, but they had to pre-date it for ownership reasons. Fountain of Filth sounds like it was recorded in the late seventies or early eighties, to me. If not, it just goes to show that they are amazingly ahead of their time.
BTW: both your blogs are amazing!
hey very cool. thanks for these. just wondering do you have the Devo E-Z listening cd? I have been looking all over the place, and haven't seen it anywhere.
thanks again.

Hi, great blog BTW! Found some things I never thought i would hear again.
Just to let you know that the link to Vol. 1 of the Devo collection is dead. Rapidshare didnt like it obviously!
Ive re-upped it here should anyone else need it.
Keep up the good work.

Oh no, is this my first taste of malicious deletion? I try to make a point of only posting OOP material, and this one is totally unavailable... If anyone has a problem with stuff I put up here let me know first and give me the dignity of removing it myself!
Rapidshare really ought to have some sort of Appeal process for complaints... what is "premium" about paying for this sort of humiliation?
Dont sweat it man.
Have you tried rarhost.com? Its in beta, but it seems to be working fine for now...
To be honest im steering clear of rapidshare as far as possible. Theres a lot cheaper ways of hosting and sharing out there.
Thanks much for the post.
Anyway to re-up hardcore vol. 2?
couldn't get it from rapid share link.
Thanks.
Devo Volume2 link re-fixed.
WOW! Thank you! Great shit I must admit! Thanks!!!
i know this is way late but i really would like it if vol. 2 was reupped (again). let me know by leaving a comment at www.slobodanburgher.co.uk i am sure you'll find something over there as bribery...
thanks
THANK YOU! WORKING FINE NOW (AND LETS HOPE THE TROLLS ARE ON XMAS BREAK SOMEWHERE AND NEVER COMING BACK)
